Ethanim 178 New Moon Watch

This watch is being issued on the first day of the biblical winter, which commences on the Fall Tekufah (similar to the global equinox) at the Mount of Olives.
|
The New Moon will be visible over parts of the Western Hemisphere the evening of the 29th of this month, which is the second evening into next Sabbath, but it is not expected to be visible over the Mount of Olives until the next night.
|
Therefore, the Day of Shouting (aka. Trumpets) New Moon will be on the fourth day into next Sabbath, unless a nearly impossible crescent is observed in the land of Israel on the 29th, making for a full month of 30 days. We will not know how long the seventh month, called Ethanim, will be until we get to its end. We do not expect to put out another email for the upcoming New Moon.

Meaning of Ethanim
"And all the men of Israel were gathered to King Solomon, in the month of *Ethanim, at the feast, which is the seventh month" (1 Kings 8:2).

*Ever-flowing, so named because permanent streams still flowed in Israel, typical of the ever-flowing River of Life, which we arrive at on the Last Great Day, the 22nd of Ethanim.

Important Ethanim Events in Biblical History
The altar of sacrifice was rebuilt after Babylonian captivity, and first offerings were made (Ezra 3:1-7).

The Torah Law was restored and read to the people (Nehemiah 8).

"And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat" (Genesis 8:4).
