Abib 178 New Moon Watch
This is an email to remind you to watch for the New Moon and to discuss when the New Moon Day might be.
It will only be visible in the Pacific Ocean at the commencement of Sabbath observance but it will be able to be seen with optical aid into part of the Americas; otherwise it is not astronomically visible until the closing of Sabbath observance, including at the Glorious Holy Mountain (Mount of Olives). However, Jerusalem is expected to have some clouds both that evening and the next. Therefore, it is not certain whether the new biblical year will begin after the 28th, 29th, or a 30th day of this month.
So, here is the deal. If it is not sighted on Sabbath, I will not send out an email, and we will have to continue the watch on the morrow. But if is is visible, I will issue a New Moon Advisory by midday Sabbath (Central U.S. time) and follow up with the main report containing the new calendar month later.
